The Role

Sofi is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk management team. This role will report to the Operational Risk Senior Manager  and partner with key stakeholders and other risk program owners. This exciting opportunity will lead Operational Loss Reporting across SoFi and be responsible for maintaining policies, procedures, templates and training materials that support the business and align to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, be an agile learner and leader, have the capacity to think strategically and act tactically to implement solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor loss events; Provide oversight to ensure timely escalation and adequate root-cause analysis; Prepare committee materials on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Review, develop and enhance operational loss reporting reporting requirements, escalation threshold and risk appetite limit
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders; Gain commitment from stakeholders to help manage and improve SoFi’s risk posture by understanding business objectives to influence solution strategies
  • Create optimal data collection, information sharing and reporting processes
  • Apply continuous improvement to further enhance policies, procedures, templates and training materials
  • Assist in the deployment of Ncontracts as the enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solution
  • Assist group lead in various strategic initiatives to strengthen risk governance, the framework and review / challenge processes
  • Use data to get to the truth and make principle-based decisions
  • Sets ambitious goals and strategy with manager based on problems that need to be solved
  • Understands and communicates potential risk to management to gain alignment
  • Helps create and drive strategy within team based on business needs

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience implementing or governing Operational Loss
  • Sound understanding of risk management practices in the banking industry
  • Self-starter, motivated and detail / results oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a fintech
  • Experience supporting Scenario Analysis
  • Develop and maintain a UI based on HTML
  • Tableau data visualization and analysis skills
  • Experience with Ncontracts or other GRC solutions
