Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with a background in full-stack cloud-based development.
You will be responsible for leading and managing a team dedicated to building EagleView’s next-generation image viewing applications. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about software development, dedicated to building scalable high-quality applications and services, as well as managing and developing members of the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Management of a team of 5-10 software engineers
- Works with the team and project management to deliver story details and estimates
- Tracks development progress and communicates with leadership
- Works with the team to facilitate the design and development process
- Works with the team to ensure code quality, security, and scalability goals are met
- Works with the team, operations, and support to ensure high availability
- Coaches and develops members of the team
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Track record of leading development projects
- Continuous learner
- Experience with client-side web technologies (React, Node.js, Angular, Vue)
- Experience with web backend technologies (Golang, Node.js)
- Experience with cloud development (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with modern development paradigms (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, Service-oriented architecture)
Preferred Skills
- Experience communicating across time zones and internationally
- Experience with container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and/or mapping technologies (MapBox, Cesium, ArcMap)
- Computer Science or Software Engineering B.S. or equivalent preferred
