Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

As an integral member of ServiceNow’s GDM Analytics team, the Senior Data Engineer will leverage technical skills to develop and enhance data pipelines.

This role will require connecting usage data, product data, and contract details to deliver insights into ServiceNow product entitlement and usage by our customers. These insights and capabilities will enable ServiceNow to proactively target upsell opportunities with our customers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Build and maintain data pipelines connecting usage data, product data, and contract details
• Become SME in the ServiceNow platform and product data
• Develop ServiceNow Applications (JavaScript)
• Build and maintain excel macros to enhance business processes
• Develop and publish reports in Surf
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses based on shifting business needs using SQL, Python, and/or Excel
• Regularly present to organizational leaders on the insights they uncover
• Create reporting capabilities using PowerBI and/or Tableau

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of data engineering or analytics experience
• Proficiency in SQL is required
• Proficiency in JavaScript is required
• Proficiency in Python is preferred
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Platform preferred
• Proficiency in Visual Basic is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and maintain excel macros
• Data Engineering/Analytics masters or relevant certifications are preferred
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• HANA or Snowflake experience is a plus
• Ability to effectively prioritize deliverables with high quality and on-time delivery
• SaaS analytics, subscription models, and finance experience are a plus
