Job Description
This position is responsible for the planning, deployment, and integration of Anitian’s Compliance Automation platform and customized cloud enabled applications. This engineer will be expected to manage cloud services (AWS, Azure), perform systems administration tasks, and have deep knowledge in infrastructure-as-code as well as configuration management.
Additionally, this position will require a high degree of customer interaction including pre-deployment planning and knowledge transfer with the ability to handle technical escalations.
Expectations
- The ability to execute CI/CD pipelines and deployments to production environments
- Execute in fast paced environments with the ability to solve difficult technical problems and can deliver singlehandedly
- Configuring, navigating, and implementing security/vulnerability endpoints like Trend Micro, Tenable/Nessus, ELK stack, Squid Proxy, Sysdig, Splunk, Barracuda, AWS WAF
- Configuring, navigating, and implementing AWS security services like CloudTrail, IAM, WAF, Config, KMS
- Daily involvement with multiple projects and tasks involving the Anitian Platform including virtual machines, virtual networking, storage services, identity management, and others
- Helping to increase efficiency through automation coding efforts using tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, or others
- Passion for team collaboration with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Can handle ambiguity by analyzing situations to navigate to the correct path
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc.)
- 5+ years’ experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of at least 1 scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Knowledge in Git
- Ability to provide work estimates by breaking down work into modular tasks
- Acute focus on customer needs and desire to take ownership of problem resolution
- Experience in one of the following compliance standards: PCI, SOC2, FedRAMP
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep knowledge of Linux distros: deployment, management, and security
- Understanding of cloud native databases
- Knowledgeable with security data and controls
- Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of Git, branching, and merge requests
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to work directly with clients, troubleshoot issues, and work toward a solution
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/BICEP templates
Education, Certifications and Training
- AWS or Azure certifications strongly preferred
- Technical degree
Other Beneficial Skills
- Experience with SIEM products
- Familiarity with a variety of cloud services (Lambda, ECR, Fargate, SSM, Security Center etc.)
- CI/CD Pipelines, Jira and the Atlassian stack
- AWS or Azure Certification (DevOps, Solutions Architect, etc.)
- FedRAMP and/or any Compliance related knowledge
- MFA (Multifactor Authentication) (YubiKey/Okta)
