Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant that will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management including annual financial statement reporting

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries related to equity, stock-based compensations, lease, and other accounts
  • Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and cash accounts as assigned
  • Responsible for researching and resolving issues regarding complex financial transactions
  • Prepare tax returns, and regulatory filings at city, county, state, and federal levels
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the Accounting Department by participating in cross training, sharing job responsibilities, and serving as position backup for accounting staff
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Amend and/or develop accounting processes and policies in according with management and U.S GAAP reporting standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ public accounting experience REQUIRED
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, general accounting, and financial planning
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience utilizing NetSuite or other equivalent accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to manipulate and work with large datasets utilizing Advanced Microsoft Excel functions
  • Experience with intercompany consolidation and ownership structures
  • Experience with foreign exchange transactions and financial reporting requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • CPA Required

Working Conditions

This position is a hybrid position from our corporate office in Las Vegas, Nevada. Monday, Thursday and Friday work from home. Tuesday and Wednesday work in the office. Culture is energetic, interactive, and growth oriented, and comfortable in a fin tech environment.
