Social Media Analyst



What can you expect?  

  • Leading on lightweight client reports, briefing and guiding junior team members

  • Working with the analytics team, other Storm Ideas teams and managers to complete and deliver longer and more in-depth client reports

  • Understanding client priorities and strategies through ongoing communication with other Storm Ideas teams and managers

  • Gathering and analysing performance data from social media networks, in accordance with our processes

  • Developing mastery of a variety of analytics tools, including Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite and YouTube Studio

  • Creating visually appealing and consistently designed reports and presentations

  • Generating tactical and strategic recommendations for our clients’ social accounts

  • Continuously looking for areas of improvement, working with the team and then actioning on changes to improve the overall quality of our reports and provide more value to our clients

  • Updating and maintaining documentation on all our reporting processes

  • Following client and competitor accounts on social media to better understand effective social media strategy


What’s important to us: 

  • Data analysis experience

  • Excellent numeracy skills and ability to analyse data quantitatively and qualitatively

  • Ability to prioritise workload and complete tasks to deadlines

  • Unparalleled attention to detail

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills

  • Social media experience is a plus, but not a necessity as long as you’re interested in learning about the industry

Nice to have:

  • Experience in creating and executing on social media performance reports

  • Experience with the social networks’ native analytics tools, such as Facebook Creator Studio, YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics

  • Experience with 3rd party social analytics tools, such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Social Insider

We’re a remote-first company and support 100% remote working, usually you will be starting your day at 10am and you will have 3 stand-ups a week with the team of the project you are working on.  

But to best serve our US clients, we are looking for people who can work at least one late shift (1:30pm-10pm) per week and one weekend shift every 6 weeks. So, some days you’ll need to be flexible to work later if there’s a key delivery to a US client, but any time can be taken back.
